Hey this actually semi-important

Hey all,

This journal has been alive for a long time. I have had at all throughout highschool, and it chronicles my really obnoxious adventures and rants from highschool. Now that I'm going on to college, I've decided to make a new lj. I know that this is probably really annoying to some of you guys, but I really just feel like the time is ripe for a new lj. If you're interested in being friended on the new lj, please just comment here. I'm going to be keeping ab_sama around for nostalgia's sake, and I might even revert it to a community's journal, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to privatize all the old entries and I'm definitely sure that I'm not going to be posting in it anymore. I know that I haven't been an active poster for the last month in this journal, but I'm going to try fairly hard to stay constant in my new journal. So if you're interested, please just comment and I'll be happy to friend you.

Maggie

And make them good reasons. Justify them. Explain them. Be loud and proud about how big of a dork you are! Then pick the 5 biggest dorks you know and have them do the meme.

<lj_cut text="meme thing">
1.) I've read the Harry Potter series about ten times. I just like it. I think it's a great series--I also enjoy quite a few other young adult series--His Dark Materials, Chronicles of Narnia, and that Alexander Lloyd series that starts with The Book of Three. While those are all pretty classy, when I get bored at work, I read really trashy children's series books too.

2.) I'm obsessed with Jeff Corwin and I love animals. I love animals a lot, and really, there's just no reason not to. I like strange animals in particular, so that makes me more dorky. Oh, and if you've ever seen Jeff Corwin, then you know why I'm a fag for liking him.

3.) Instead of playing video games, I watch other people play video games. And I get involved in the stories. Pretty pathetic.

4.) I own a ferret. And she's adorable.

5.) I love roleplaying. Online, in person, pretty much all of it.
</lj_cut>

Today is a work day which would be fine except that my throat is killing me. I think it must be allergy related, because I feel fine otherwise. Except my jaw, which has been hurting me for a while and I dont really know what to do about it. oh well.

I've finished one journal as a graduation present and I have three more to go. Only issue is that they need to be finished by Wednsday pretty much and I don't have a lot of time to make them because I'm working today, tomorrow, going to Atlanta this weekend. So Monday and Tuesday will be crunch days I suppose.

Marielle, a German girl who I've known for ever, is in town so we've been hanging out a little bit. I'm going to try to have dinner with her tonight.

I went to the zoo, I think I mentioned that earlier, and it was wonderful. They have baby lion cubs. I'm up for zooing again with anyone who wants to.

I think I need a shower before heading off to work. and some medicine.

Pretty much a freeday. I'm still going to FAC, but just to read Tale of Genji and talk to Mr. Campbell about book-binding. I want him to be my sensei.

I have to study a bit for the spanish exam tomorrow, but what I really want to do is play resident evil 4 or watch a scary movie.

seriously guys, I have 4 days of school left. how fucking crazy is that?

I had a weird FAC dream. Something about a book counting committee. I was very angry in it, so I think I channeled some of the excess resentment and aggression into that dream.

When I learn to bind books properly, I'm going to make a dream journal for myself and maybe even try my hand at analyzing them.

Time to go pick up Romana.

So, while I have talked to Simon from Open Book, I've also gone out and applied for two more jobs in case the hours situations can't be resolved at The Open Book. My two ideal options are (I think):

1.) to work at both Carolina Pets and The Open book part-time, getting about 15-20 hours a week from each store.

2.) to work solely at Tsunami with a 30+ hour week.

Or maybe it will work out at The Open Book that I can get at least 30 hrs a week. Or maybe Carolina Pets would want to hire me more full time. So many possibilities.

Inculding the possibility that Carolina Pets and Tsunami won't even want to hire me.

I think I'd like to work at Tsunami the most, but I also think it would be the hardest and the most draining, so I'm kind of nervous about it.

Today is raining but I really want to play frisbee or tennis or something.

Oh, I watched House of Wax, which was good and scary, and most of the original Amnityville Horror which was lame but at the same time a little freaky. After that, John, Lindsay, Kyle, Sarah, and Romana and I stayed up talked about ghosts, scary dreams, etc. it was very fun.

Today we might watch The Grudge which will probably be too scary for me and make me cry.

Oh, and I found the girl I want to be my roommate. Her name is Tara and she seems really cool, although I need to ask her how she feels about posters..

Ok, I think I'll go read DNAngel and wait for everyone else to wake up.

I have stuff that I have to do but don't want to do.

For example:

1.) Convince Ms. Beachem not to fail me.
2.) Clean up the pictures and paper that sukie knocked around on to the floor
3.) Finish my portfolio
4.) Read about 800 pages in Tale of Genji by tuesday.
5.) Study for all my finals. Oh man, I realized I do not have to go to school monday. My first final just suddenly changed to Spanish on Tuesday. And then Physics on Wed. And then Gov. on Thursday.
6.)I should finish all those sheets Ms. Garrison gave us.
7.) I should get the vaccum out of my room.

So I should take a shower. And maybe work on the whole organize my room thing.

Everything is running a little more smoothly in my life than I thought it would. However, I'm still a little worried about finding my books and absences. But we will just see.

So, I'm getting really excited about going to Bard--I was walking to Sarah's house and I just sort of squealed suddenly and jumped up and down, and Peggy Paul started laughing nervously in her yard.

But yeah--I've been thinking more and more about what it will be like--I'm really anxious to be in NY, and to explore up there.

Right now, my friends are killing zombies and wailing about it, because they are wusses (note: I had to leave the room because the chaingun man scared me.)

I just feel like eating everything today. Make it stop.

School is painfully close to being over: I only have this week and next, and next week is exams so it's not a real week.

For the first time in four years I walked into Fine Arts Center, and I felt like I shouldn't be there. Not in an awkward way, but in a "my body is here but not my head" way. I think it really is time to move on.

But I still have my portfolio and my project due. It's on tale of Genji, which is a fairly ambitious book to read. I need to get some of that taken care of tonight.

Okay I'm done now.

Well, last night I stayed up until 4:00 which in retrospect wasn't a good idea, because I had to get up at 8:00. So I woke up at 8:00 went to school for two periods, came back home and slept until now which means from 10:30-5:00. Yay. Allison is coming over to work on our final Powerpoint Project for computer. Once we are done with that, we only have the final, which is wonderful because I can't wait to be done with that class.

I was up so late last night because I was distracted by nappinganarchy and bluesummers and because I went through and read my old LJ and DJ which was scary. I used to think that I was kind of cool in 9th and 10th grade, but I was obviously really mistaken. And I also wasn't very cool in 11th grade either. and I'm probably not very cool now.

I'm thinking I'm going to get a new LJ before college.
Kay, I'm leaving today to go to Cleveland for another prom. Hopefully, this prom won't be completely lame like my own prom--I have a feeling it will be more interesting, because I get to meet all these people I always hear about.

I'm starting to get really excited about Bard, but my excitement is only dulled by my father's freaking attitude problem about me going to Bard. In his crazy brain, he thinks that me going to college in NY is some sort of statement about the quality of his parenting. When I ask him why he's being this way, he just says "you won't understand what I feel." Jesus christ, Dad, stop being such a goddamn CHICK.

Okay, but really, I am getting excited about Bard again.

I gave blood at school which was sort of uncomfortable, and then I went to the doctors, and was even more uncomfortable. I've gotten pricked three times today.

I'm reading Tale of Genji and it's pretty good but god knows how I'm going to finish it. I can't take it anywhere with me because I feel so ridiculous carrying it around.

I can't seem to find my job anywhere, so it looks like I'll have to pick up an old one again.

I'm going to see Frank at lunch on wedensday to work out the details. Back to the Open Book for me, hopefully.

Prom happened. it was pretty boring. John, Lindsay, Robby and I watched Pervirella afterwards and it was very bad. But I still had fun.

Okay, so I think I'll go to bed.

so I was checking my friends page this morning and I was in the middle of posting something and I remembered something but now I've forgotten it again and I fucking hate that feeling.

I feel kind of weird this morning. I have a test I need to study for and I have to write in English. I also have a reading tonight, and I'm getting pretty nervous about reading my piece, which is kind of strange because I'm usually not nervous about shit like that.

I think I'll watch an episode of One Piece.

AH "Faggot" is like Henry's theme song.

Yakitate! Japan has 47 episodes thank god.

Okay, I know everyone has already done this but I'm going to do one too now.

Ok, here are fifteen of my favorite things. You all can guess who my favorite character is, and if your right, I'll let you know by bolding the fandom and talking about the character out to the side.

1.) Trigun...Wolfwood. Okay, I think it's been established that Wolfwood is really everyone's favorite character. Don't get me wrong, I love Vash and Knives and even poor squashed Legato, but Wolfwood is a priest with a gun. It doesn't get cooler than that.
2.) Naruto (main)
3.) Naruto (side)
4.) Bleach
5.) Angel Sanctuary
6.) The Jeff Corwin Experience...Jeff Corwin. While it was close call between Jeff and the baby wombats, Jeff Corwin with his ultimate fag power had to win this one. Come on. It's Jeff Corwin.
7.) Yakitate! Japan
8.) One Piece
9.) Peace Maker Kurogane
10.) Get Backers
11.) Gankutsuo
12.) Cowboy Bebop
13.) Fullmetal Alchemist
14.) Great Teacher Onizuka-...Ekichi Onizuka. Once again, this was probably fairly obvious. But Onizuka is not only a great teacher and biker, but he's the keeper of Justice. And that says something.
15.) Arrested Development...Tobias. He's played by David Cross. That's pretty much it.

Okay well I took this fake AP Lit test yesterday, which you know, killed my morning. whatever. and then Sarah and I went to eat good kyoto express and I got the beef bowl w/no sauce and she got the hibachi chicken breast which was really weird because usually I get the chicken and she gets the beef. And then Adam and Madison came over to play, and we played the dictionary game which was alot of fun. Madison won, suprise. Then Adam stayed and we watched i <3 huckabees which was awesome, and then we had to go take care of Kyle and play existential detectives. Then we played Resident Evil the end.

back from beach

Hey everybody. Did you miss me? I certainly missed the internet!

Speaking of which, my computer is fucking up again, and has to go get looked at again. I'm currently using my Uncle's castaway computer, so I can't really complain. Dad thinks my computer is screwy because I have been visitng porn and casino sites, so he keeps giving me dirty looks and muttering and sighing loudly around the computer.

I went to the beach with Robby, and it was fun, but very blustery--which is a fag way to say windy. We saw a horseshoe crab washed up on the beach and I picked it up but Robby wouldn't. We worked alot on music, and we now have a total of five songs, and we also watched A Very Long Engagement which I liked.

I also have a lot of new music to listen to thanks to Robby.

Here is the music I've actually listened to so far and it's really good so if anyone wants one of these CDs just ask and I'll burn it for you:
1.) The Sea and Cake- Oui
2.) Belle and Sebastian- Dear Catastrophe Waitress
3.) The Arcade Fire- Funeral
4.) Deerhoof- The Man the King and the Girl
5.) Mum- Yesterday was Dramatic-- Today is OK
6.) The Shins- Chutes too Narrow

Here are the rest of the CDs he burned for me which I am very excited about:
1.) Mum- Please sing my nose bleed
2.) Daedalus- Snowdonia
3.) The Walkmen- Bows and Arrows
4.) The Flaming Lips- Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots (It's kind of embarressing I didn't have that...)
5.) Wilco- A Ghost is Born
6.) Godspeed You! Black Emperor- Slow Riot for New Zero Canada- EP
7.) Prefuse 73- One Word Extinguisher
8.) M83- Dead Cities Red Seas & Lost Ghosts
9.) Sigur Ros- Agaetis Byrjun
10.) The Books- Thought for Food
11.) The New Pornographers- Mas Romantic
12.) The Flaming Lips- The Soft Bulletin
13.) LCD Sound System- LCD Sound System

Don't I have the best boyfriend? and while I'm on good music, let me also thank Lindsay, aka clockwork_apple, for turning me onto Spiritualized- Ladies and Gentlemen we are floating in space, as well as Elliott Smith- Elliott Smith, Black Heart Procession- 2, and Annie- Anniemal. All of those CDs are amazing, especially the Elliot Smith. On an unrelated note--I have the next 2 volumes of Angel Sanctuary for you to borrow.

Since I have all this wonderful new music, I'm feeling generous and am willing to burn a couple of CDs for those on my friends list. However, I will feel more generous if you people are willing to trade.

its goodnight time.

ps: thanx oddrid for the icon--Jeff Corwin/ Kawachi OTP. They would make beautiful bread snakes together. Also, I miss you so come home.

pps: I almost totally forgot! the new Beck CD, "Guero" is amazing. I have the one with alot of bonus tracks at the end but I am looking for the EP that has "Hell Yes" and "Girl" backed with video game sounds sooo I am really really willing to trade for that shit.
